Webology

Webology is a compound noun coming from two words, "Web" and the suffix "-logy" as a word ending. "Web" stands for World Wide Web, and the suffix "-ology" means "the study of". Webology as an emerging and developing field encompasses all studies of web-related phenomena. In other words, Webology or Web Science is the study of the Web including its structure, organization, topology, functions, characteristics, interconnections, and development. However, it should be mentioned that the definition and boundaries of Webology as a scientific or academic field are yet to be defined.
