WRAX (defunct)

WRAX (100.9 FM) was an American radio station in Bedford, Pennsylvania, the seat of government for Bedford County.

Bedford's first FM

Originally founded as the classical station WAKM in the late 1960s, WBFD's FM frequency changed format and call letters in the early 1980s to become the country station WRAX-FM.

During the dramatic shift in ownership of Bedford's four radio frequencies around 1990, WRAX became WOOX and later WAYC-FM (which moved from 107.5 mHz).
