WQBB (branded as Studio 1040) is a commercial radio station located in Powell, Tennessee, serving the Knoxville Metropolitan Area. It broadcasts on AM frequency 1040 kHz and is under ownership of Journal Communications. WQBB is affiliated with the Music Of Your Life network that airs an adult standards format.

Because it shares the same frequency as "clear channel" station WHO-AM in Des Moines, Iowa, WQBB operates only during the Daytime hours.

History

This station played adult standards for years, part of that time simulcast on 104.5 FM. It was a sports talk station called "1040 The Ticket" before the switch to the current format.
