The
Hauptamt Volksdeutsche Mittelstelle (commonly translated as the "Ethnic Germans' Welfare Office" or "Main Office for Ethnic Germans") was an
SS institution, founded in 1937; it was also commonly known by the nickname "
VoMi". The organization reported to the SS-Obergruppenführer
Werner Lorenz.
The organization was in charge of the Volksdeutsche (Ethnic Germans) who lived outside the borders of Germany. Its primary task of this principal office was the resettlement of German groups of peoples, which took place between 1939 and 1940 under the slogan "Heim ins Reich". The VoMi settled the Wartheland (Posen) and Danzig-West Prussia (Danzig) until 1940 with approximately one million Germans in the German Reich, particularly in the Reichsgaus.

- Amt 7 : Sicherung Deutschen Volkstums in den neuen Ostgebieten
- Amt 8 : Kultur und Wissenschaft
- Amt 9 : Politische Führung Deutscher Volksgruppen
- Amt 10 : Führung der Wirtschaft in den Deutschen Volksgruppen
- Amt 11 : Umsiedlung
