Very Rare Rehearsal From February 1989 is an album by American grindcore band Anal Cunt. It was released on CD in 2002 by Shipman Records as catalogue number SHIP01. It features a previously unheard recording of a rehearsal from February 1989.
The album shows how, although much of Anal Cunt's early noisecore material involved a lot of improvisation, the band also paid a lot of attention to rehearsing in order to gain the fastest, tightest sound possible.
The combination of rehearsed songs and improvisation is shown on this release, which starts with the band practising songs which are familiar to fans of the band's early material and ends with improvised noisecore songs such as the Infinite Song and the Double Infinite Song. This highlights the fact that the band did not take themselves entirely seriously, especially when drummer Tim Morse claims his drums are out of tune.
There is also a guest appearance from someone called Clive.
