The Union City Greyhounds are a summer collegiate baseball team based in Union City, Tennessee. The team, which plays in the KIT League plays its home games in Elam Stadium at LH Ladd Field, located in Union City, Tennessee.

The Union City Greyhounds are managed by a Board of Directors, and daily management is overseen by Bill "Rat" Harrison, General Manager and Stephen Crockett, Director of Baseball Operations. The coaching staff is directed by Harris-Stowe State University head coach Jonathan Estes and Curtis Burkehalter of Northwestern State.

History

The Union City Greyhounds joined the KIT League in 2004.

The team was the KIT League Playoff Champions for the 2007 season with an impressive .620 record (31-19) in 50 games, finishing one game behind the Fulton Railroaders.

In 2007, three players from the Union City Greyhounds were selected for the KIT League all-star team to play against the Central Illinois Collegiate League's all-star team. Those players were: James "JB" MacDonald, Jeff Reach, and Blake McDade.

Four players from the Union City Greyhounds were selected for the KIT League 2008 all-star team. Those players were: Drew Hayes, Ace Williams, Justin Miller, and Trey Horn.

• 2008 Season: 26 wins 24 losses (.520).
• 2007 Season: 31 wins 19 losses (.620) - KIT League Playoff Champions.

Notable Players

• Rafael Hill was drafted by the Texas Rangers.
• Marty Beno: Marty played for the Union City Greyhounds in 2005 and was the first KIT League alumnus to be drafted by a Major League franchise.
