Tuhovishta is a village in Southwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the Satovcha Municipality, Blagoevgrad District.
It is located some 2 km from the border with Greece. Sea level of the village is 700-999 m. and the area of the land is 17.15 km2.

According to Vasil Kanchov, as of 1900, Tuhovishta was populated by 500 Bulgarian Muslims.
In the 19 century Tuhovishta is a Muslim village in "Nevrokopska" said to the "Ottoman Empire". In "Ethnography of vilaetite Adrianopol, Monastir and Salonika", issued in Constantinople in 1878 and reflecting the statistics of the male population by 1873 year Duhovishta (Douhovischta) was considered a village with 36 households and 90 residents muslims. According to statistics of Vasil Kanchov in 1900 Tuhovishta (Tuvishta) is a Bulgarian-muslim settlement. There live 500 Bulgarians-muslims in 70 houses. According to Stefan Verkovich at the end of the 19 century Tuhovishta has muslim male population of 120 people who live in 36 houses.

Currently the village has over 800 habitants Muslims. The village has two mosques: one is located in the Lower Quarter and has one minaret with two terraces and the second is located in the Upper Quarter and has only one terrace. The mosque in the Lower Quarter was restored in 2000 by businessman Shukri Shukriev.
