Tromsøya is a small island in the strait between the mainland and Kvaløya in Tromsø municipality, Troms, Norway. It contains the city centre and several residential areas of the city of Tromsø and has given the city its name. The island's area is roughly 22 sq.km. and has a population of about 35.000. Tromsø's airport is situated on the western side of the island.

The island is connected to the mainland by the Tromsø Bridge and Tromsøysund Tunnel as well as to Kvaløya by Sandnessund Bridge.
