Tony Boeckel

Tony Boeckel (August 25, 1892 - February 16, 1924) was a former Major League Baseball infielder who played six seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Boston Braves of the National League.

Boeckel was killed when the car he was riding in flipped over in New York City, crushing his pelvis. Close friend and New York Yankees outfielder, Bob Meusel was a passenger and escaped unhurt.
