Theatre-By-the-Sea

Theatre-By-the-Sea (also known as "Theater by the Sea") is an historic theater and playhouse at Card Ponds Road in South Kingstown, Rhode Island.

History

The theater was founded in 1933. It was added to the National Historic Register in 1980.

Bill Hanney will present the 2009 Summer show series featuring "My Way" "Crazy for You" ""Peter Pan" and "Dirrty Roten Scoundrels"

Visiting information

Adjacent to the Theatre is the famous Seahorse Grill and Cabaret, now known as Bistro by the Sea. The restaurant is open when there are performances at the Theatre. The famous Matunuck Cabaret plays after the show on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Four shows are playing during the 2008 summer season: "Ain't Misbehavin," "Evita," "George M!" and "The Producers." This summer is the Theatre's 75th anniversary.
