TRL Italy

TRL Italy is the Italian version of the popular American Total Request Live which originated in 1999.

Originally it was broadcast weekdays at 2.00pm; its time slot was changed as it ran into its second season; it was broadcast at 3.00pm starting in 2002.

The main presenters were Alessandro Cattelan, Giorgia Surina, Marco Maccarini, Carolina Di Domenico and Federico Russo.

There is also the award version of the show (like in the United States) called TRL Awards.

TRL On Tour

During the summer months, the show goes on tour to several Italian cities, such as Naples, Florence, Turin, Padova, Bari, and Rome.

2004

Naples: May 1 - May 20, 2004 (Dante Square) - First guest, Avril Lavigne, performing live "Sk8er Boi", and her then new single "Don't Tell Me". The square was full of people that couldn't let the cars pass.

Despite the other tour's editions, this year the show unfortunately won't take place in big and important Italian cities like Rome, Milan, Padova, Naples and Turin. The causes are disowned.
