Surgana is a census town in Nashik District in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Geography

Surgana is located at . It has an average elevation of 533 metres (1748 feet). It is about 90 KM from Nashik. Travelling to Surgana by bus or Max ('Kali-Piwali' we call it as)is one of greatest adventure one will ever do in his life. Hopefully Maharashtra GOVT. will improve quality of roads soon and we will have comfortable reach.

Being geographer another thing which I must tell you, is its beauty in rainy season (Although I hate this season, because there are quit a few number of houses which do not pour rain-roof water inside).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Surgana had a population of 6144. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Surgana has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 64%. In Surgana, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
