Caminhos do Coração
Caminhos do Coração (English: Ways of the Heart) is a Brazilian telenovela originally aired on Rede Record. This telenovela has a continuation called Os Mutantes - Caminhos do Coração. Created by Tiago Santiago and directed by Alexandre Avancini.

Plot

The plot gets involved around Maria Luz, who is accused of killing the owner of one of the largest networks of clinics in the country, Dr. Socrates Mayer. The Progênese is the place where Dr. Júlia created beings genetically modified, the mutants with super powers.

Maria Luz lives in the circus Don Peppe with his parents Ana Luz and Pepe. Maria is the main attraction of the circus, where she was created and met his first love: Fernando. Maria is also the best friend of Juanita, her sister-in-law. The love of Maria by Fernando ends when he gets involved with Esmeralda.
