In the summer of 2006, SnagAJob.com received $9 million in financing from Adams Street Partners, Baird Venture Partners and C&B Capital. The company is using the funding to expand all aspects of its operation.
In 2007, SnagAJob.com acquired naming rights for the concert pavilion at Innsbrook Afterhours, Central Virginia’s longest running mid-week concert series. It is now called SnagAJob.com Pavilion. Also in 2007, SnagAJob.com was awarded the IMPACT Award by The Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes a company's growth, culture and community impact. The company was also named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Virginia and won the Greater Richmond Technology Council's Emerging Company Award.
At the U.S. Small Business Administration's celebration of National Small Business Week 2008 on April 22, 2008, Shawn Boyer was selected as the National Small Business Person of the Year. In June of 2008, the company launched it's own collection of free e-cards designed for America's workforce called Afterthoughts. Users can customize the cards themselves, or use a text generator to insert funny phrases and send them to friends and coworkers.
