Simulsat antennas are parabolic in one plane and spherical in the other. Since it has multiple points of reflection, one antenna is able to receive signals from more than one satellite at a time. It uses a special antenna/downconverter (low-noise block converter) for each satellite. The LNB's are mounted in an arc in front of the dish.
They are manufactured and sold by the Antenna Technology Communications, Inc. ATCi, for whom Simulsat is their primary product. Currently, three versions are manufactured, Simulsat 5, Simulsat C/Ku, and Simulsat 7.
