Siberian huskies are medium-sized dogs and were originally bred in Northeast Asia as sled dogs. Huskies are known for their work ethic and are comfortable in mild and cold climates, making ideal companions for those with therapy or sledding transportation needs. Siberian Huskies are thought to come from the Chukchi Tribe, located near the east of the Siberian peninsula.
Today, Siberian Huskies are known to weight anywhere from 35 to 60 pounds and often have eyes that are brown or blue in color. Huskies are known for their gentle and welcoming temperaments but they are also able to stay alert and enjoy keeping active and outgoing. Siberian Huskies are not considered jealous dogs and are often eager, loyal and intelligent (even at a young age).
