Seskinore is a small
village in
County Tyrone,
Northern Ireland. It is situated two and a half miles north east of
Fintona and seven miles from
Omagh. The village had a population of 162 people in the
2001 Census and is a prosperous farming based community. Seskinore is situated in the
Omagh District Council area.It currently has a population of over 150 people.
History
Little is known about the origins of the village but there is proof that it existed in the early part of the 17th century when at least two of its inhabitants were listed as paying Hearth Tax.
