In 2006 it's founder, Neely Reyes, won the Black Country Business Link Young Entrepreneur 2006 Award and subsequently the 2007 Chamber of Commerce Wolverhampton Entrepreneur Award.
In August 2007 Eunice Olumide, a model signed to Sapphires, was announced as a finalist at the 2007 Scottish Fashion Awards. Sapphires were at the time the first model agency outside of London or Scotland to be representing a finalist at the awards.
In January 2008 Sapphires opened a second office in Central London making them the only Midlands agency to have a base in the capital
