The Robotic Lunar Observatory, or ROLO, was an astronomical observatory funded by NASA, located at the USGS Flagstaff Field Center in Flagstaff, AZ, atop McMillan Mesa. Its purpose was to establish the Moon as a radiance calibration source for Earth-orbiting remote sensing spacecraft.

History

Founded in November 1995 and ceased on September 18, 2003 due to the NASA grant running out.
