or Pecenje in Serbian
is a Serbian national meal
and so is the Grill which was brought to Greece in the first world war
It can be roasted
on a open fire or in a big stone oven called a Furuna in Serbian. The meat can be from either pigs, sheeps, cows or goats.
An interesting fact is that it's eaten cold, not warm like other roast meat meals. After the meat is washed and cleaned it's roasted whole and then cut into small, often square pieces.
