Restaurant Row is a several block long area of La Cienega Boulevard, essentially from Santa Monica Boulevard south to Wilshire Boulevard. The term Restaurant Row is identified with Beverly Hills, California, but a section of this area lies within West Hollywood. This area is the home of many restaurants, some of them old-time establishments such as Lawry's and Tail O' the Pup. The restaurants are often frequented by celebrities, and host many entertainment industry parties. This nickname has been well-known in the Los Angeles area since at least the 1940s.
