Rego Park (LIRR station)

Rego Park is a former Long Island Rail Road station. It was made of wood, which is rare, as other stations were made of concrete. The station was part of the Rockaway Beach Branch, but also served the Main Line. Due to the Rockaway Trestle fire in 1950, the line was closed station by station. The station closed in 1967. It has become a hiking trail. Barely anything remains at the site today.
