Redan is a central suburb of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.

Redan is immediately to the south of Ballarat central. The boundary of Redan is along Winter Street East, Pleasant Street, Sebastopol Street and Hill Street, on the north side; Yarrawee River forms the eastern boundary; Rubicon Street is the southern edge with Sutton Street forming the west side. Skipton Street is the main road through the suburb. The population has many people in their teens and early twenties in low cost rental accommodation.

A Post Office was first opened here on 1 July 1935.

Forecast populations are 3162 in 2007, 3176 in 2011, and 3195 in 2021. Dwelling numbers were forecast as 1536.

Redan has an Australian rules football team playing in the Ballarat Football League.
