Rasonic

Rasonic

Although Rasonic (Chinese: 樂信牌) claimed to be a brand name of Japanese Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., there is no official company website nor any information proving that these two companies are related. 沒有證據顯示'樂信牌'和'樂聲牌'有關。

Description

Under the brand name Rasonic, the company produces a variety of home appliances, such as rice cookers, hair dryers, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, ovens, plasma and LCD televisions, DVD Recorders, kettles, air conditioning units, foot massagers, and vacuum cleaners. It was originally conceived by Matsushita Electric's distributor (NOT Matsushita Electric's) Shun Hing Electric Works in Hong Kong, China to promote products in the Far East.

All Rasonic's (Chinese: 樂信牌) products are made in China and are only sold in Hong Kong and China. Panasonic has never confirmed that Rasonic is part of their company.

History

The name Rasonic was introduced as an alternative budget brand name to Panasonic for appliances marketed in Hong Kong and China domestically by Shun Hing Electric Works, Matsushita's Panasonic distributor (just the same distributor in Hong Kong, NOTHING TO DO WITH Panasonic!) in the early 1980s. In 1994 Matsushita established the joint venture Panasonic Shun Hing Industrial Sales (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd and Panasonic SH Industrial Sales (Shenzen) Co., Ltd in China with Shun Hing Electric Works (Hong Kong), and the Rasonic brand became a Matsushita subsidiary.
