Every laureate is to hold a so-called Gustave de Molinari Lecture before receiving the award. Gustave de Molinari was a very famous Belgian liberal philosopher.

• Urbain Servranckx (2007), a well-known Belgian actor, stand-up comedian and singer.
• Derk-Jan Eppink (2006), a Dutch columnist and author, advisor to former European Commissioner Frits Bolkestein.
• Alain Destexhe (2005), a Belgian senator for the Reformist Movement.
• Matthias Edward Storme (2004), a liberal conservative university professor and notorious flamingant.
• Ayaan Hirsi Ali (2003), a former Member of the Dutch Parliament for the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy.
• Luuk Van Middelaar (2002), a notorious Dutch liberal philosopher.
