PrivatAir

PrivatAir is an airline based in Geneva, Switzerland, specializing in scheduled and charter flights using mid-sized, long-range, all premium class jets. One of the services it provides, is operating exclusively business class flights which include transatlantic operations for Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, KLM and, until March 2008, corporate shuttles for Airbus. It has main bases at Geneva Cointrin International Airport (GVA), Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS), Munich International Airport (MUC), Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) and Zurich International Airport (ZRH).

History

The airline was established and began operations in 1977. It received its Swiss air operators certificate in June 1995. In August 2000, PrivatAir acquired Flight Services Group in the USA, which was sold to Gama Aviation in January 2008 . PrivatAir Group was formed. In May 2003 PrivatAir and Swissport created the joint company PrivatPort dealing in an executive jet handling business, initially in Geneva. PrivatAir S.A. holds a 49% holding in PrivatPort.
