Price Chopper is a Canadian chain of discount food stores owned by Sobeys Inc.. It has several locations in Ontario, 1 in Manitoba, 8 in New Brunswick, 10 in Nova Scotia, 2 in Prince Edward Island, and 9 in Newfoundland. Price Chopper is not related to chains with the same name in the United States or New Zealand. In the late 1990s the chain acquired additional locations after its former parent company, Oshawa Group, was acquired by Sobeys.
