PopQ was an interactive game show in which the viewers at home were the contestants. In order to participate, the at home viewer must either call their 1-900 number, which costs $1.99 per call, they can text into the show, which costs $2 per text, or the viewer can enter for free online on the PopQ website. Every tenth person that enters qualifies and has their phone number entered into a pool of numbers, and through out the program, the shows producers would randomly call back one of the numbers that has been entered into the pool of numbers. The person who was lucky enough to get a call back goes on the air, and provided an answer in hopes of winning a cash prize.
This quiz usually had 10 covered words on the Board corresponding to the celebrity topic of the day. Each word on the board was worth between $100 and $1000. Throughout the program, the hosts would give clues to the answers which were on the Board, and they encouraged the at home viewers to call in and participate to win cash.
