PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad (1922)

PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad (ПФК Пирин Благоевград) is a Bulgarian football club from the town of Blagoevgrad, currently playing in the B PFG. The club is founded in 1922. Pirin played more than 20 seasons in the top flight and played two times European football.

In 2005/06 season Pirin were excluded from A PFG after two matches and demoted to their regional third level league (Southwestern V AFG) on Aug 18 for failing to arrange their debts; their results were annulled. During 2007-2008 season the team took first place in Bulgarian South-West V AFG, thus qualified in the Bulgarian B Professional Football Group for the upcoming season.
