Pirin Blagoevgrad (ПФК Пирин Благоевград) is a Bulgarian football club from the town of Blagoevgrad, currently playing in the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the first division of Bulgarian football.
The club was founded as Granit Stara Kresna, then changed its name to Makedonska Slava ("Macedonian Glory") to imply a connection with the old Makedonska Slava (PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad), then playing its home matches in Simitli.
The team played a season in the top division as Makedonska Slava in the 2000s, then was relegated, they became know as Pirin 1922 in the 2004/2005 season,they returned to top flight football as Pirin 1922 for the 2005/06 season only to once again return to the B PFG.
Pirin 1922 (Blagoevgrad) changed name to Pirin Blagoevgrad before the start of the 2006/2007 season; they are not to be confused with the "original" (PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad (1922)), playing currently at 2nd level
