Paul C. Shomshor, Jr. (born April 10, 1967) is the Iowa State Representative from the 100th District. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2003, when he was elected in a special election. He received his BA and MA from Baylor University.
Shomshor currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Commerce committee; the Natural Resources committee; the State Government committee; and the Ways and Means committee, where he is chair. He also serves on the Transportation, Infrastructure, and Capitals Appropriations Subcommittee. His prior political experience includes serving on the Council Bluffs City Council from 1997-2001.
Shomshor was re-elected in 2006 with 3,568 votes (52%), defeating Republican opponent Scott Belt.
