Paracoccidioides brasiliensis

Paracoccidioides brasiliensis is a dimorphic species of fungus responsible for paracoccidioidomycosis. While the route of infection is assumed to be via inhalation, the environmental habit of P. brasiliensis is unknown. Notably, the organism produces multiple blastoconidia from a single cell.
