Panthessaliko Stadium

Panthessaliko Stadium is a football stadium located at Volos, Greece. The stadium was the site of football (soccer) matches during the 2004 Summer Olympics, centered in Athens, Greece. The stadium was officially opened on July 30, 2004 and seats 22,700, though only 21,100 seats were made publicly available for the Olympic matches.

The stadium is home to Niki Volou FC, a team currently playing in Beta Ethniki of Greek football.

On 29 October, 2007, it was announced that the cities of Volos and Larissa, Greece, were awarded the 2013 Mediterranean Games. The Panthessaliko Stadium will serve as the main stadium for the competition.
