This small town in the Linha, as the portuguese call it, has very rocky beaches with goiod quality water and with lots of animal biodiversity. It is one of the reasons why it is one of the most famous beaches of the area, it has a blue flag.

It's a well developed area with all the popuilation's needs covered, almost, excluding a general hospital (Hospital de Santa Ana and Hospital/Sanitario Dr. José d'Almeida are two hopitals specialized in endocronology and ortopedy)

Its church is considered a modern one due to the lack of decoration and adorns unlike the beautiful church in Oeiras.
