Otto Lee

Otto O. Lee (born in Hong Kong) is currently a Sunnyvale, California city council member. He was recently the 57th Mayor of The City of Sunnyvale, California. Before that, he served as Vice Mayor of Sunnyvale. He is a patent attorney, and a co-founder and partner of the Intellectual Property Law Group LLP. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Otto Lee served active duty in the U.S. Navy as a Supply Corps Officer. He holds the rank of Commander in the United States Naval Reserve and is the Executive Officer of a Naval Aircraft Carriers Reserve Unit based in San Diego.

He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Nuclear Engineering from the University of California Berkeley, a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and also obtained an LL.M. in Public International Law from Rijksuniversiteit Leiden, The Netherlands.

He is currently running for the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors for District 2. He qualified in the June 2008 primary to compete in the November 2008 general election against David Cortese.
