Orvosi Hetilap (Hungarian Medical Journal) is a scientific journal of the Lajos Markusovszky Foundation.

History

This is the oldest medical newspaper in Hungary and the oldest presently published Hungarian newspaper in general, founded in 1857 by Lajos Markusovszky. However it was only the second medical paper in Hungary: first was the Orvosi Tár (cca. Medical Cabinet) in 1831, founded by Pál Bugát, which was cancelled by the end of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848 .
