Oravais in Swedish or Oravainen in Finnish is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Ostrobothnia region. The municipality has a population of 2,204 (2007) and covers an area of 206.84 km² of which 4.53 km² is water. The population density is 10.66 inhabitants per km².
The municipality is officially bilingual, with the majority speaking Swedish (81.4 %) and the minority Finnish (10.5 %). Most of the remaining 8.1 % live in Oravais Reception Centre for Refugees, and speak several other languages.
