Onslow, Nova Scotia

Onslow is an unincorporated Canadian rural community in central Colchester County, Nova Scotia. The community is situated along the north bank of the Salmon River, opposite the town of Truro and is largely a farming area.

Onslow is home to Central Colchester Junior High School, operated by the Chignecto Central Regional School Board.

An important highway interchange in Nova Scotia is located in the community where Highway 102 terminates at Highway 104.

This part of nova scotia is a small community outside of Truro with a high school a small corner store a john deer and also a fire department. This area also has many farms and is mostly farm land but people live here and it is expanding somewhat as well. Onslow is an important area for canadian geese to land and feed with all the farm lands and corn fields they will land there to feed in the fall and spring. Onslow is an area with high winds and is a perfect area for wind turbines and farmes in the area have set some up to power there farms.

There once was a old heratige house that was condemed because of damage after hurricane juan and is now torn down. The Last residents of that house were the hatfields which in the winter moved to a house about 1 km up the road.
