Ogham is designed to be a wiki-like web content management system (CMS) for non technical users. The emphasis is on ease of use over features. Because non-technical users have difficulty with any markup language the developer, Sean O'Donnell, decided to provide a WYSIWYG editor. Because Microsoft Word users find wiki syntax and the automatic generation of links to be annoying, this was then replaced with a tree structure for navigation and easy linking within the host website.

Ogham has currently been tested on Linux and Windows servers and with the Firefox 1.0+, Internet Explorer 6 and Konqueror 3.3.2 browsers.
