Offadesma angasi

Offadesma angasi is a bivalve mollusc of the family Periplomatidae, endemic to south east Australia and New Zealand. It is found in soft or sandy mud, from low spring tide to about 180 m.

The shell is large, with a silvery lustre beneath a white outer layer and thin yellowish-brown periostracum. It is transversely elongate-ovate in shape, the posterior end narrowly rounded and slightly rostrate.

Height is up to 66 mm, length 94 mm, and width 39 mm.
