Nyctograph

Nyctograph

Nyctograph is a form of Typhlograph invented in 1891 by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson for his personal use in recording notes at night without having to light a lamp. The device consists of series of squares cut out in a card and was used to guide the writer in making letter-like marks consisting of lines and dots which could then be transcribed the following day.
