Nidubrolu is a town in Andhra Pradesh India situated nearly 25 km (15.5 miles) from the coastal town of Bapatla, 27 km (16.8 miles) from Guntur and adjacent to the town of Ponnur in Guntur district. A rumor is that Nidubrolu name originated from its unusual length compared to any surrounding town (Nidu + Prolu= Long Town). Nidubrolu's main road begins at the Municipal Park located next to the Vegetable Market and stretches eastward to at least three kilometers. A small rivulet the Tungabhadra passes through the town. Both Ponnur and Nidubrolu are together called as Janta Puramulu (Twin towns).

Nidubrolu was benefited tremendously soon after its governance was brought under Ponnur Municipal Commission with paved concrete streets, electricity, street lighting and public water distribution. Nidubrolu's infrastructure comprises of several lakes designed to serve various functions. The four old temples (the four pillars of the town) namely Ramalayam, Sivalayam, Vishnalayam and Poleramma Vari Gudi continue to operate. Several churches now offer a place for congregation. A beautiful Shiridi Sai Baba Temple promoting secular religion is a great addition to the town.
Nidubrolu is a major education center. Z.P.H School is more than 100 years old. P.B.N. College is founded by Pamulapati Butchi Naidu. Nidubrolu is the birth place of well known persons such as [prof.[N.G. Ranga]], Pamulapati Ankineedu Prasada Rao (Member of Parliament) and T.R.K. Prasad (Former Cabinet Secretary, Govt. of India),poet late Yetukuri Venkata Narasayya, Pandita Kavi Kalaprapurna Kotha Satyanarayana Chowdary ,Kondaveeti Venkata Kavi , Ex Zilla Board President Pamulapati venkata Krishnayya ,Col.PLN Chowdary. The village is surrounded by rich farmlands which contribute to rice cultivation powered by water from the river Krishna.
The Indian Peasant Institute (Karshaka Vidyalayam) established by N. G. Ranga is located in Nidubrolu The institute has inspired generations of political reformers and farmers. Alumni includes Sri Thimma Reddy and Sri Rosaiah.
