Formed by Jay Tee (James Trujillo) and TL (Timothy Lyon), they were signed to Profile Records in the early 1990s. Their debut album, "Back to the Hotel," brought the group their lone mainstream success with the title track, which peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1992.

Though they were never able to repeat the success of "Back to the Hotel," N2Deep remained an underground presence in Northern California for the remainder of the decade, releasing six more albums on a host of small independent labels.
