Muscari botryoides

Muscari botryoides (Common grape hyacinth; syn. Hyacinthus botryoides L.) is an ornamental plant in the Hyacinthaceae family.

The flowers are close together, and are almost totally round. The lower flowers are bend towards the ground, while the upper ones are pointing upwards. These ones are most of the times without stamen. The flowers are blue with a white edge, or totally white.

The Common grape hyacinth is originally from the Mediterranean area. This plant is especially entangled in the warmer areas of Central-Europe. It grows now in orchards and vineyards.
