McMurrich/Monteith, Ontario

McMurrich/Monteith is a municipality and census subdivision in Parry Sound District, Ontario, Canada.

The municipality was formed in 1998 through an amalgamation of the former Township of McMurrich and the eastern two-thirds of the unincorporated Township of Monteith. The remaining portion of Monteith became part of Seguin Township.

According to the 2006 Census, McMurrich/Monteith has a population of 630 people over a territory of 274 km².

Storefront businesses include: The Sprucedale Hotel(hotel,bar,restaurant), McManus General Store & Restaurant, Kirk's Gas & Convenience, and Sprucedale Meats.

The Park-To-Park Recreational Trail passes through the heart of Sprucedale.
