Aiguamúrcia

Aiguamurcia (officially and in Catalan Aiguamúrcia) is a catalan municipality, ubicated in the Tarragona province (Spain), in the Alt Camp comarc.

History

Etymology

The name of the city is derived from the word Aiguamúrcia. Some think this is from Aqua Murcia ('encharcated water'), but other documents say Dayna Murcia (1192).
