Mike Torchia

Mike Torchia (born February 23, 1972 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a retired professional ice hockey goalie who played six games in the National Hockey League for the Dallas Stars during the 1994–95 NHL season.

Torchia was drafted 74th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. In his six career NHL games, he registered a record of three wins, two losses, and one tie with a GAA of 3.30 and an .895 Save Percentage.

Torchia actually played on the same backyard rink with future NHL superstar Eric Lindros growing up as a kid in Toronto. After his NHL career, he went on to play in several minor leagues, as well as playing some hockey in Europe.

Torchia is currently a commentator for the Kitchener Rangers on Rogers Cable 20 (2008).

Named to the Memorial Cup Tournament All-Star team in 1990.
Hap Emms Memorial Trophy (Memorial Cup Tournament Top Goaltender) in 1990.
Named to the OHL First All-Star Team in 1991.
Named to the ISL Second All-Star team in 2001.
