Mike Mattera

Michael Mattera started out in the entertainment industry as a stand-up comic in Maryland when he was a Sophomore at Towson University, opening for the likes of Jeffery Ross and Tracy Morgan. It was at Towson he started to act as well, in the sketch comedy show Pregame, which ran for 2 seasons on campus television. After college he moved to New York to study acting and pursue stand-up comedy.

He acted in the sketch comedy show, The PostShow, briefly, and got up at now defunct comedy clubs, The Boston Comedy Club & Joe Franklin's. He took a year and a half break from stand-up while at the Michael Howard Studios One Year Conservatory for actors. After he graduated from the conservatory, he produced, along with his sketch group, Grandma's Moustache, "Not Another Showcase", which ran to sold out audiences for 5 months. After the show ended it's run, he returned to stand-up in the spring of 2007, and is currently pursuing stand-up and acting, equally, in New York. Recent appearances include hosting VH1's Best Night Ever and podcast appearances such as Keith and The Girl.
