Launched in 2000, MiGente.com is an online niche social-networking site targeted especially for the Latino community. Its parent company Community Connect claims that Migente is currently the fastest growing English language site for the Hispanic community Community Connect Advertising Info. According to the Community Connect website, as of June 2007 there were 2.8 million members on Migente.com. Members come from a variety of Hispanic backgrounds..

In February 2007, the site partnered with Si TV to launch new channels on the site. The collaboration identifies and promotes emerging music artists via Si TV's monthly sweepstakes on MiGenteAmor, the dating component of the social-networking site.

MiGente.com is owned by Community Connect Inc.

Last month (May, 2008), Radion one paid $38 million for New York-based Community Connect, which operates a number of branded Web sites, including BlackPlanet, MiGente and AsianAvenue. Community Connect claims about 23 million users.
