Mauro Codussi

Mauro Codussi (1440 - 1504) was an Italian architect of the early-Renaissance, active mostly in Venice. He is also known as Coducci.

Born in Lenna (Val Brembana, Lombardy), he moved early to Venice, where most of his works were built. These include the churches of San Michele in Isola, San Zaccaria, San Giovanni Crisostomo and Santa Maria Formosa, and the Vendrami-Calergi and Zorzi palaces.

He also collaborated with Bartolomeo Bono in the realization of the Torre dell'Orologio.
